In her work, the artist creates sculptures mirroring traditional hunting trophies, but translates this concept into the world of the human body. The wall piece Trophy with real horns of a female mouflon stems from her expressive series “Female Trophies” focusing on the representation of the female body in the context of objectification, power, and aesthetics. The artist provocatively hints at the perception of the female body as an object of desire, symbol of beauty, or even property. The series thus elicits mixed feelings, ranging from enthusiasm for the artist’s courage to controversies in relation to interpretation and provocation. The artwork addresses the boundary between art, satire, and social criticism.
