Heavy Head Boy

The sculpture of Heavy Head Boy alias Cubiman captures a sitting man with a Cubist prism. Almost four meters tall, the statue overlooks the public space at the new Dvorecký Bridge in Prague. Its glass miniature is featured in SIN Collection. Kintera sought to rehabilitate figural sculptural tradition which is waning from contemporary sculpture. At first glance, the statue is strikingly similar to Auguste Rodin’s iconic sculpture The Thinker. Contemplatively gazing at the ground, pondering, perhaps even bored by guarding the space, the boy has a big and heavy head from excessive brooding.
