Eruption

The original idea of the design from 1983 was to create a luminous object using a combination of noble and raw materials often featured in Knížák’s works. In collaboration with SIN Studio Gallery, he created a sculpture deliberately combining rough and polished glass. The geometric objects from uranium glass are embedded in the amorphous crystal object, shining through and rising to the surface like explosions of magnetic energy during a solar eruption.
