Bicycle

The artefact celebrates the beautiful morphology and perfect proportions of the bicycle frame. Rony Plesl wanted to show what a perfect art object and sculptural work and utilitarian object like a bicycle can be. He relates primarily to Marcel Duchamp who elevated many ordinary objects to works of art. The artist intentionally acknowledges all the fine casts caused by molding, creating the impression of a natural object. The bicycle frame thus deliberately resembles a plant or a climbing branch.
